It's hard to pick just 5, but here's our list for the best spots to apres in Vermont from the classics to new hot spots starting from southern Vermont and working our way north.

GRIZZLY'S, STRATTON MOUNTAIN

Grizzly's Stratton Mountain

Grizzly's is our local haunt. The newly renovated space has an expanded bar and even an outdoor deck for March ski days. Live music, local brews, and some impressive nachos make this a quintessential apres spot.

MAIN + MOUNTAIN, LUDLOW

Main + Mountain

Down the road from Okemo, Main + Mountain is the just-opened sister property to the Homestyle Hostel, which we've shared our love of in a previous post. This retro mountain chic cocktail bar is bringing some style to the apres game.

HIGHLINE LODGE, KILLINGTON

Highline Lodge

Everyone knows the Pickle Barrel and the Wobbly Barn (icons for a reason), but our new go-to at Killington is the Highline Lodge. Under new management this season, they've revamped their apres with live music and a great intimate space for those who want a slightly more chill vibe.

HYDE AWAY, WAITSFIELD

Hyde Away Inn

The Hyde Away is classic, cozy tavern that's always a crowd pleaser after a day at Sugarbush. Find the best of the Vermont craft brews, like Heady Topper, and hearty tavern fare.

MATTERHORN, STOWE

Matterhorn Stowe

We're always a little perplexed by the sushi and apres combo, but you can't beat the scene here. Even with all the new places in Stowe, the Matterhorn is still a not-to-be-missed apres spot.
